How to turn off antivirus MacAfee?

To turn off McAfee antivirus on a Windows computer, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the Start menu and select «Control Panel.»
  2. In the Control Panel, click on «System and Security» and then «Security Center.»
  3. In the Security Center, click on the «Virus and Threat Protection» section.
  4. In the Virus and Threat Protection window, click on «Manage Settings» under the «Virus and Threat Protection Settings» section.
  5. In the Virus and Threat Protection Settings window, scroll down to the «Exclusions» section and click on «Add or remove exclusions.»
  6. In the Exclusions window, click on «Add an exclusion» and select «Exclude a folder.»
  7. In the «Exclude a Folder» window, navigate to the folder where the McAfee antivirus program is installed (usually «C:\Program Files (x86)\McAfee» or «C:\Program Files\McAfee») and select the folder. Click on «Exclude this folder» to add the folder to the exclusions list.
  8. Repeat this process for any other McAfee folders that you want to exclude from the antivirus scans.
  9. Once you have added all the necessary folders to the exclusions list, click on «Apply» and then «OK» to save the changes.
  10. To completely turn off McAfee antivirus, you will need to disable the McAfee services
